The Journal of Integrated Medical Sciences & Research (JIMSR) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All parties involved—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—are expected to adhere to these ethical principles.
Responsibilities of Authors
- Submit original work; ensure all sources are properly cited.
- Disclose all conflicts of interest and funding sources.
- Ensure authorship reflects genuine intellectual contribution (per ICMJE criteria).
- Provide ethics-committee approval for research involving humans or animals.
- Promptly notify the editor of any error discovered after publication.
Responsibilities of Editors
- Make fair, unbiased decisions based solely on scholarly merit.
- Maintain confidentiality of submitted material.
- Manage conflicts of interest and act on suspected misconduct.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations.
- Maintain confidentiality and declare competing interests.
- Alert editors to ethical concerns or substantial similarity to other works.
Plagiarism and Misconduct
All submissions are screened using recognized plagiarism-detection software. JIMSR has zero tolerance for plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, duplicate or redundant publication, and authorship disputes. Suspected misconduct is investigated in accordance with COPE flowcharts.
Corrections, Retractions, and Appeals
Where necessary, the journal will publish corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record. Authors may appeal editorial decisions in writing to the Editor-in-Chief.
